For a retained Sheriff booking or jail record, submit the Iron County Sheriff GRAMA record-request form. The form states that a response may take up to 10 business days, and current rates are available from the Sheriff’s Office at (435) 867-7500.
Choose the agency that created or controls the material. The following routes keep a municipal report, county booking entry, court case, and state or federal custody record in their proper systems.
- Current county custody or a recent county booking: check the Sheriff’s current inmate roster and recent-bookings table, then call the jail to confirm a time-sensitive status.
- Sheriff booking records: use the Sheriff GRAMA form for a retained county record. A photo request is evaluated under Utah’s protected-record rules and is not a promise that a photo can be released.
- City police reports: use the creating department’s request route, including Cedar City Police records, the Enoch City forms page, or the Parowan GRAMA form.
- Filed charges and court outcomes: use Utah Courts Xchange or the appropriate court clerk. A booking charge is an accusation, not the final court disposition.
- State corrections status: use the Utah Department of Corrections offender search for the state-corrections population, not a new Iron County jail booking.
- Federal or immigration detention: use the official BOP inmate locator or ICE Online Detainee Locator System. Neither replaces the Iron County Jail roster.
